SSB(state selection board) Recruitment for the various non-teaching posts in government degree college Odisha 2024.
Brief information:-State selection board recruitment 2024:
In pursuance to the requisition received from the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha, online application are invited from the perspective candidate for recruitment of Junior Assistant (Group-C), PET's(Group-B) and Laboratory Assistant-Cum-Store keepers(Group-B) in government degree colleges.

Educational qualifications:-
For junior Assistant- Any graduate with basic skills in computer and information technology application.
For PET's:-B.P.Ed or B.A.C.P.Ed
For Laboratory Assistant-cum-store keeper:-A candidate must have possessed Bachelor Degree with Honours in respective Practical
Subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Anthropology, Education, Geography, Geology,
Home Science & Psychology.
Salary:-
For junior Assistant:-Group-c, Level 4 as per ORSP Rule 2017.
For PET's:-Group-B Level 9 as per ORSP Rule 2017.
For Laboratory Assistant- cum-store keeper:-Group-B Level 9 as per ORSP Rule 2017.
Method of selection:-
The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts will be made through a competitive Examination detailed below.
(A) Junior Assistant:-
The selection will be based on Written Test and Skill Test. The examination shall consist of;
(i) Written Test - 200 Marks
(ii) Skill Test-50 Marks
TOTAL=250 Marks
The following subject of written test are:-
1) General English:-30(question) =60marks
2) G.k and current affairs:-20(question) =40marks
3) General mathematics:-20(question) =40 marks
4) Reasoning and mental abilities:-30 (question) =60 marks
(Total 100 question=200 marks)
Total time=2h30min.
Question will be MCQ types with 0.50 negative marking.

Qualifying mark:-For UR--40%
For others--30%
a) After written test the candidates will be shortlisted 1.5 times of the category wise vacancies for computer skill test which will be of 50 marks of 1hour duration in which minimum qualifying mark will be 20 marks.
b) The computer skill test and verification of certificate of shortlisted candidates will be conducted at Bhubaneswar.
(B) For PET's and Laboratory Assistant- cum-store keeper:-The selection based on written test only.
Total 100 MCQ types of question has 200 marks in 2hour duration and there will be negative marking of 0.5 marks.

c) It is extremely important that candidates should give their percentage of marks secured in Under-
graduate (+3) degree while filling up the online application form by effecting necessary
conversion of C.G.P.A as per the conversion formula of their respective degree awarding

d) Candidates are required to upload their latest passport size photograph (taken within fifteen days
before the submission of application) along with scanned image of their full signature and left-
hand thumb impression, which must be clearly identifiable / visible. Otherwise, the application
of the candidate is liable to be rejected.
e) The requisite fee must be deposited online at the time of submission of online application.
f) Candidates are advised to submit the online application form well within the timeline without
waiting for the closing date to avoid last hour rush.
g) Candidates are advised to be very careful while fitling up the online application
form as there is no edit option after final submission of the same. Similarly,
while depositing the application fee, they must ensure that the Application lD
No. allotted to them is entered correctly. After successful payment of
Application Fee of requisite amount against the Application ID allotted, the
process of online application will be completed and the candidate will be able to
download the application form from the SSB website after 24 hours. Deposit of
application fees against a wrong Application lD shall amount to non-submission of
application and the candidates shall not be enrolled for appearing the written
test. State Selection Board shall not be responsible for ony act of
commission of the candidates. No request, either through offline or online mode
for effecting any changes in the application form shall be entertained. On
successful payment of application fee, the candidates should download the application form and keep it with them for future reference.
*Any government job holder can apply this form?
Yes apply but produce "No objection certificate" from the employer by the date of computer skill test.

*How many candidates are selected from written examination?
1.5 times candidates are selected from written examination of the category wise vacancies
for computer skill test.
